When my girls were younger and we were all home on Christmas, I’d make a sausage/cheese strata in the oven. This year, though, my sister will be out of town on Christmas so we’re celebrating with her early (this coming Saturday). That means I’ll be home on Christmas, so I’ll be making it this year. I’ve never tried making it in a crock pot (the ones I have are mostly too small – ones I got from my mom’s place when she passed away).
