Delicious Gluten-Free Sonoma Flatbreads

June 9, 2015 by Emilee Evans

I was so excited to be an official blogger for the Chicago Gluten-Free and Allergen Friendly Expo this year and got to check out a lot of great gluten-free goodies! Our family is working toward a gluten-free lifestyle to help manage our medical conditions. It’s been a challenging and slow process but discovering delicious gluten-free foods like Sonoma Flatbreads from Donatos is making our journey much easier!

Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate my review. Regardless, all opinions are my own and those of my family.
We love pizza around here. I mean, we seriously LOVE it! Of course, it doesn’t always love us – particularly myself. Not to mention, in addition to gluten I worry about the other ingredients as well! So I was excited to learn that the Sonoma Flatbreads by Donatos are not only gluten-free, but they have no preservatives, artificial flavors or colors! Of course, I also love that they’re an Ohio company as well!
The Sonoma Flatbreads are definitely not boring, either! They are available in a variety of flavors (Uncured Pepperoni, Chicken and Fire Roasted Peppers, Four Cheese and Fire Roasted Vegetables) as well as sizes (Personal, Pizza for Two and Family Size)! For our review we received the Pepperoni, Four Cheese, and Chicken and Fire Roasted Peppers. Because I love flavor, I definitely had to try the Chicken and Fire Roasted Peppers first!

It was delicious! In addition to the toppings on the pizza it also included a pack of crushed peppers, but I opted not to use it. This pizza was fantastic! It was full of great flavor, and the crust was amazing. I was really enjoying the flatbread! It was extremely simple to prepare, and the crust was a nice balance of crispy but soft – just what we enjoy!
The kids’ favorite was definitely the Four Cheese. They all love cheese pizza, and I love that the Sonoma Flatbreads offers a healthier alternative. Even our extremely picky little guy was loving the Sonoma Flatbreads. The best part, though? He would eat it ALL! Generally he doesn’t eat the crust, but because of the style of the flatbreads, he ate (and enjoyed) all of it!
Sonoma Flatbreads is one of the fastest growing gluten-free brands in the U.S. (with 3,500 points of distribution!), and I can see why! Overall, our family was very happy with the Sonoma Flatbreads, and as a busy mom, I appreciate the convenience while knowing I’m offering a healthier choice! The Sonoma Flatbreads are definitely a delicious gluten-free pizza!
For my fellow Ohioans, you can find Sonoma Flatbreads by Donatos at Kroger, Meijer, Giant Eagle, Walmart, Fresh Thyme and Raisin Rack! Not from Ohio? No worries! Check out their page on where to buy Sonoma Flatbreads in your area!

I almost thought this was pizza but it really was flat-bread. Now I am hungry so, and the recipe looked so good, I copied it down, and I thank you.

I personally have gotten so I prefer flat bread and tortillas over bread. You can do a lot more with them too.
