It’s important for us to have devotionals as a family. Ideally we like devotionals the kids can understand but are still good for the whole family. When I found out one of the most popular devotionals was available for kids I was excited to check it out!

Family Christian offers many great Christian resources for families including the popular devotional Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, and I was so excited to be introduced to the Jesus Calling: 365 Devotional for Kids! It was just what we needed to get a great start to the new year!
For our review we received the Jesus Calling: 365 Devotional for Kids.
What I love about this devotional is that it hasn’t necessarily been written in a way that makes it childish. It isn’t full of bright pictures and simple words. There is nothing wrong with that, and we have many books like that, which I find very helpful, but it’s not what I was wanting for family devotional time. Instead, Jesus Calling: 365 Devotional for Kids has been written in a way that kids can understand – a way to which they can relate.
We have been loving our family devotional time, and I finally feel like we have a devotional we can work through as a family. I feel like it is not only speaking to our children’s hearts but ours as well! It has really been a blessing and when everything has been turned upside down by such a big move, it’s comforting to have our devotional time where we can all just connect and get closer to God together.

Thanks for the Fantastic Review on Devotional for Kids! This sounds like a really great book not only for the kids but for us adults as well! Like you mentioned, I myself do like the books with the nice big writing and the colorful pictures, however, they have a time and place as well. If you are going to have a family devotional, it’s terrific that you have found this book! At least the children can understand what you are reading as well! I really like that fact! I know that you have been through so many trials lately and, if it were me, I’d be like “Why me, God?”. I haven’t got that from you! You are still very strong in your faith and you always seem to land on your feet! I guess I should stop asking him why and say thank you for all the trials that we’ve been through lately as well! I sure hope that you are feeling better and, as usual, another wonderful review! I appreciate you sharing this Devotions for Kids Book with all of us! I’ll have to write it down on my “wish list” which I still have for the “someday”! Thanks again, Michele 🙂
