Educational Toys Planet {Review} #HolidayGiftGuide

November 14, 2013 by Emilee Evans

Disclosure: I received the product mentioned to facilitate my review. Regardless, I only recommend products I feel would be good for my readers. All opinions are my own and those of my family.

Educational Toys Planet

Christmas is just around the corner – do you have some kiddos left on your shopping list? Educational Toys Planet offers a wide variety of toys that are both educational and fun! Kids love to play, and they learn a lot through play! As a mom, I am always on the lookout for toys with educational value. As a homeschooling mom if I can find ways to connect lessons with play time, that is even more exciting!
For our review we received the Frontier Logs 300 pc Wooden Classic Construction Play Set, and the kids weren’t the only ones who were excited when we saw what was in the box! Not only did I have great memories of building cabins and forts myself when I was young, but I knew it would also be a great learning experience!
Educational Toys Planet
The Frontier Logs Play Set is a great toy for the whole family. Our kids (ages 3, 5, and 7) can all work together to build a fort or houses as well as play with the characters. In addition to the construction skills they are also learning teamwork as well! Building is a great way for kids to learn about physics, mechanics, and motion. Educational Toys Planet offers a variety of Construction Sets ranging from ages 2-13!
In addition to teamwork and building our kids were also learning about history as they asked stories about the action figures with which they were playing. Although their question was a simple “who are the good guys and who are the bad guys?” it obviously branched into a lesson of the History of the Wild West! Obviously the answer isn’t as simple as their question, but I love that there was an opportunity to discuss history! Because they had visuals and were enjoying playing with them they were also very open to and curious about learning more!
Now the kids reenact the battles with each other, and sometimes our preschooler reenacts them by himself! They have a great time using imaginative play as well, which I also encourage!

In Summary:

I like the Frontier Logs Play Set because it doesn’t require any tools or special skills. You don’t even have to build things exactly like they are in the instructions. It allows kids to use their imagination but also to think about how to build the structures properly as well. If you have more than one child it also helps them to practice teamwork if they are building structures together. The action figures help to teach history and again helps encourage creative play.
I think the Frontier Logs Play Set would be a great gift for many kids! Their recommended ages are 4-8. Be sure to check out the shipping information to see the cutoff dates to guarantee delivery in time for Christmas!

Your post made me thinking as I’ve got no clue of what Christmas present to get for my 2 years old that is fun and educational. I hate buying toys that she gets bored of in about 2 seconds. These seem interesting.
    Have a great day, Emilee.

Yes, our kids get bored easily as well, so it’s nice to have toys like these that keep them both entertained and build their education!

Education Toys Planet does have a lot of really neat toys! I was looking through their stuff the other day and there I several things I’d love. But, can’t go overboard. 🙂
