Actually, we are already using one of the ideas on the website with our old, worn laminator. My daughter sells her art and books at anime conventions and one of her best selling items are her bookmarks. She is finishing up a new set of five for a local convention two weekends from now and she’ll be making even more for a convention in October.

Ooh that is great! We went to Comicpalooza this year, but I haven’t been to an Anime Convention yet. I saw there is one in Galveston next month, and I think I might check it out! Does she have a booth or does she sell them through other vendors?

My daughter usually has her own table in Artists’ Alley, although on occasion will share table space with another artist. We were just in Dallas a few weeks ago for Anime Fest. That’s our longest drive for a convention this year (15-16 hours each way) and since they usually hold it on Labor Day, but held it a couple of weeks earlier this year, it really affected attendance, and therefore sales. One of Fawn’s best friends lives just outside of Dallas, so we always meet up with her when we’re there. Plus, this year they had a great Japanese band we both wanted to see, so it was worth the trip.
