All three of our kids are so different from each other, but one thing they have in common is they like to color! Coloring is a great way for them to express themselves and have fun! When a coloring book offers something valuable like learning The Bible – that is definitely exciting!

Family Christian offers a great variety of faith-based resources for children. A resource with one of our kids’ favorite activities that features favorite scenes, stories, and characters from the Bible? How exciting! I was also excited to hear that the Buck Denver Asks… What’s in the Bible? Coloring Book is reproducible. Having three children, constantly having to purchase three of the same product gets costly pretty quickly! So I am definitely a BIG fan of resources that are reproducible!
Our kids are always excited about a new coloring book, and I was excited about the possibility to dig deeper in the Bible while they do something they love! Just today we sat at the table while they were coloring, and just as I have come to expect, our daughter asks about the picture she is coloring – who is in the picture? What are they doing? This particular picture was Elijah getting food from a raven.
Each page has a sentence (or two or three) with a description and even includes the Bible reference so if you really want to dig deeper you can open up your Bible to read more. Our kids are still at the beginning readers stage, but I love that they ask me more about the picture, and I’m not only able to read what is on the page but really talk about it as well.
I think how you use the Buck Denver Asks… What’s in the Bible? Coloring Book depends on the ages of your children. Our children are ages 8, 6, and 4, so even with each child how I interact with them is different. I use this as an opportunity to get them excited about the Bible. It reinforces what they know and helps them learn more about what they’re not totally familiar with yet.
I let them have creative freedom because I feel like their coloring is an expression of themselves. The red raven above, for example, is so true to our daughter’s personality. I think they should use whatever colors they choose to express themselves! What matters is the story.
Overall, I think the Buck Denver Asks… What’s in the Bible? Coloring Book is a great Bible coloring book with so many possibilities for helping children learn more about the Bible! How would you use Buck Denver Asks… What’s in the Bible?

I liked your review, too. I have grandchildren that know and love the Lord and it is very helpful to have a creative outlet for them and one that gives us opportunities to answer their questions or ask them a question about what they think they are drawing. it will give us a tool to judge how they are doing with Bible knowledge. It can also open up opportunities to teach them something new & at their level.
It’s so important to start teaching our children the Word of God from an early age in a way they can retain and grasp the information and coloring is definitely a great way of doing that!
I agree! I love that there are so many great resources available!

What a cute coloring book!
I have been looking for a coloring book that would be relevant for my children to learn the word of god without being about their learning level, after seeing your review of I am certain that the “Buck Denver Asks… What’s in the Bible”? is the book I’ve been seeking.
I’m so glad! It can be hard to sift through all the resources available, but this is one we definitely love!
