I have a special appreciation for french snacks. I took French in high school and college, and it is so much more than just learning the language, but the culture as well. For holidays we were encouraged to make French snacks and try new ones! When I heard there were all-natural French snacks making their way across the Atlantic, I couldn’t wait to try them!
Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate my review and post. Regardless, all opinions are my own and those of my family.
The all-natural French snack company, bakerly, is crossing the Atlantic to make their French snacks available in the U.S. for the first time including Crepes, Mini Brioche & delicious chocolate-filled Croissants.
Sounds great, right? Delicious snacks made with GMO-Free wheat, fresh hand-cracked eggs, real milk that is rBST free and never from concentrate and real fruit filling. Not only do we get to try French snacks, but they have all the good stuff and none of the bad stuff we try to avoid – no artificial flavoring, no artificial coloring and no preservatives.
What’s more is they are celebrating this milestone in a fun way! To celebrate their Atlantic crossing and arrival in the U.S., bakerly has become the main sponsor of The Transat bakerly race, world’s oldest solo transatlantic sailing race held every four years from Plymouth, England to New York City which began earlier this week (May 2nd).
Each sailor is going on their solo voyage across the Atlantic with a selection of bakerly snakcs on board so they can enjoy delicious treats with the taste of home thousands of miles out at sea. Each sailor (including 3 female entries) will be battling harsh winds, icebergs and currents of the North Atlantic, and bakerly snacks will fuel their adventure! Amazing right?
All-Natural French Snacks
I can say I am sure they are enjoying their snacks and am loving all the updates and the pictures and videos of the journey.
We have definitely been enjoying the French snacks! We couldn’t wait to try them! For our review we received an assortment of bakerly snacks including: mini brioches, chocolate croissants, crepes, and sponge petit cakes.
Of course, I really appreciate that the bakerly French snacks are all-natural and free of all the bad stuff, but I also really appreciate the convenience! Each snack is individually wrapped, so I can simply put one or two of them in my purse, and take them when we’re out and about! I feel good knowing our kids can have a snack they enjoy that has ingredients I feel good about!
They have definitely been a big hit around here! The boys and I really enjoy chocolate, so we were so glad to see (and eat) the chocolate treats! Our daughter, who strangely doesn’t like chocolate, enjoys the treats with fruit. It’s really hard to pick a favorite because I really did like them all. They all have something that makes them special – the sponge petit cakes have a great texture, the croissants are nice and flaky, the brioche is filling, and the crepes are light and thin – really easy to put in my purse!
Overall, I am so glad bakerly is making their way to the U.S.! I love the adventure they’re taking through sponsoring the Transat bakerly race!
