Nectresse Natural Sweetener Review

September 28, 2012 by Emilee Evans

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NECTRESSE™Sweetener for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am excited I had the chance to review NECTRESSE™Sweetener! We are very conscious of ingredients due to our kids having special needs, my husband having had cancer twice, and my Fibromyalgia. One thing that has always been an issue is deciding which sweetener to use. We know sugar isn't ideal, but artificial sweeteners aren't ideal for our family either. For me, in particular, trigger migraines and Fibromyalgia flare ups! I have such a "sweet tooth," though, that I'm always on a mission to find natural sweeteners! I also think it is very important to care for our bodies and health and being conscious of what you're eating and drinking is part of that!

Lisa Ling shares her experience with NECTRESSE!

A few things I learned about NECTRESSE is that it is the only 100% natural sweetener made from fruit – monk fruit extract available where you shop! It always has zero calories, so if you do have a "sweet tooth" like me you can add a little extra without the worry of extra calories! On their website you can get a FREE sample of NECTRESSE™Sweetener and you can view many different recipes for which to use NECTRESSE! I loved the receipes because it gave me an idea about how much I should use instead of sugar!

They had a Pomegranate Iced Green Tea recipe that looked good! Since I am the only one that enjoys Pomegranate, though, I made just the Green Tea, and it was great! I couldn't even tell a difference in the taste, and nobody else in the family noticed either! I felt good knowing this was a better choice and everybody still loved it! I'm going to start using it for our Sweet Tea as well, which is a big favorite in our house!

Green Tea with NECTRESSE

Here is the great recipe for the Pomegranate Iced Green Tea (I know it would be GREAT with the Pomegranate as well! I think I'll make some just for myself!) 😉

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of green tea
  • 3/4 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of pomegranate juice
  • 3 NECTRESSE Natural No Calorie Sweetener Packets

Directions

  1. STEEP the tea bag in hot water for 2-3 minutes. Discard bag.
  2. ADD remaining ingredients and stir until blended. Pour tea over ice.

Simple, right?! I love that it comes in both packets as well as a canister! Packets are great because they are pre-measured and easy to take with you to use on the go, and the canister is great when you're making something like coffee at home and want to add a little at a time to get it "just right!"

Have you tried NECTRESSE yet? What is your favorite recipe to use it with? If you haven't tried it yet don't forget to head over to their site to get your FREE sample of NECTRESSE™Sweetener! You will be glad you did!

I was also recently able to try Nectresse and was super happy with it. I have tried quite a few natural sweeteners trying to cut down on the amount of sugar we consume, and Nectresse is one sweetener that has stuck around my kitchen for far longer than any others I had tried. I used Nectresse to make peanut butter granola which came out so good, and I also made the strawberry banana shake which I still can’t believe is only 100 calories!

I hadn’t heard of nectresse before, but it sounds like I might need to try it out. I’ve tried several sugar alternatives but haven’t been satisfied with the taste of any of them.
