Co-Hosted by Deals of Sweetness
Ooka Island is a fun Pre-K (starting as young as age 3) to 2nd Grade learn-to-read program for PC and Mac. It features a Home Edition, School Edition, and Homeschool Edition. It is a fun way for kids to learn phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Their goal is to teach children to learn to read fluently and well through online instruction that is fun and interesting.
We had a chance to review Ooka Island last summer, and I was so impressed with how much our kids enjoyed it and how well they were doing with it. I was definitely excited for the chance to review it again and am particularly excited about the progress their preschooler has been making! Check out our latest Ooka Island Review!
Do you have young children in mind that you know would love to learn on Ooka Island? One winner will receive a 6-month subscription to Ooka Island (ARV $59.70). This giveaway begins on 4/10 at 7pm and ends on 4/24 at 11:00pm (times are Central) and is open worldwide ages 18+. Please refer to the full terms and conditions in the Giveaway Tools.

I like that it’s something for the PreK to 2nd grade crowd
I like that I can give it to my daughter to do while I am doing school with her brother and it will satisfy her need to be doing school as well. 🙂

I like that their goal is to teach children to read fluently by using fun and interesting instruction.
I like that it is geared towards my littlest one. It is so hard to find quality curriculum for preschoolers.
I agree! I think it is one of the hardest age ranges!

I love that this program teaches the basics such as phonics. I have found that teaching phonics at a very young age makes excellent readers.
I love that it’s a learning jungle for young kids.
