Proactiv Plus Review

December 15, 2014 by Emilee Evans

When I was younger, my skin care concerns were very minimal. As a teenager I had the occasional breakout, but nothing that made me panic. Fast forward 10 years later when I’m in my early 30’s and have three children, and my face is a mess! What gives? Adult acne can be frustrating and discouraging. I already have to battle other skin concerns like fine lines, dark spots, etc., but blemishes? In my 30’s?
Disclosure: I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Influence-Central for Proacitv+. I received samples of Proactiv+ to facilitate my review and a thank you item for participating. Regardless, all opinions are my own.
Proactiv Plus Review
As you probably know, I am very cautious with ingredients. I have tried every natural solution available, and although I see occasional improvement, I was definitely open to trying something else hoping for long-term improvement. I have one side of my face that is particularly stubborn, and if you pay close attention, you may notice I rarely show that side of my face in pictures. I’m extremely self-conscious about it, and even without makeup I feel like it’s still pretty noticeable.
Proactiv Plus appealed to me because it is a 3-step skin care system not only designed to fight acne, but also offers additional skin care benefits as well like improvement in texture, tone pore appearance and brightness.

I have been using Proactiv+ for just over one month twice a day as recommended. I have definitely noticed improvement in my skin’s tone and texture. Although my problem area is still a bit of a problem area, after comparing the “Before” and “After” pictures I can see there is a difference! The difference in my skin health is definitely apparent, and the blemishes aren’t as apparent.
Proactiv+ Review
I am definitely going to keep using it regularly because I feel like I could finally have a solution to my blemishes. My skin definitely looks and feels healthier, and I feel like the blemishes will continue to diminish. The only disadvantage I see is that my skin does flake now, and when I’m putting on my foundation, I have flakes that can cause a mess while I’m doing makeup in the car (which I do a lot!), so I may have to switch to a powder to avoid this problem. If my blemishes continue to diminish I won’t have to wear it at all, though!
The blemishes on my chin are pretty much gone, and see how my pores and skin tone have improved all over!
Proactiv Plus Before and After
I am definitely glad I took a chance with Proactiv+. I love the way my skin looks and feels now, and I can’t wait to see continued results. I love the 3-step system and particularly love the Complexion Perfecting Hydrator. My skin feels so soft after applying!

I have TERRIBLE skin, and I have for as long as I can remember. I was actually one of those kids who was bullied in middle school AND high school because of my acne. I still struggle with acne today, at 25, and it’s worse now that I am pregnant and have extra hormones running through me. I would love to try this out one day. So far I have not found anything that helps my skin, and I have been trying to clear it up for almost 15 years.

That is hard. 🙁 Although I didn’t start getting acne until I was an adult, I know the frustrations of trying so many things that just don’t work. It’s frustrating.

Thank you for your review 🙂 My daughter has the worst acne and nothing seem to help and I’ve been wanting to try Proactive for awhile.
