Experiencing India's Queen of Herbs #OrganicIndia #MomsMeet

November 1, 2015 by Emilee Evans

I love a good cup of tea, but more than that I love a cup of tea that offers many benefits. Tea is an art for health. There are so many combinations available to support our health. Organic India’s mission is to provide true wellness by offering 100% organic, pure, and natural products. It was definitely something I was eager to try!
Organic India Review
Disclosure: I received this product for free from the sponsor of the Moms Meet program, May Media
Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer. As a Moms Meet blogger, I agreed to use this product and post my honest opinion on my blog. My opinions do not necessarily reflect the opinions of May Media Group LLC or the manufacturer of this product.

In addition to offering 100% pure, natural and organic products, Organic India is on a mission to create a sustainable global environment by working with thousands of family farmer in India on tens of thousands of certified organic farmland. They promote sustainable agriculture and pay premium prices for the farmers’ crops. They make their trademark product, Tulsi tea in a wide variety of flavors as well as various organically grown herbal supplements. (Tulsi is also known as Holy Basil.)
I am just so impressed with everything Organic India offers and stands for. Many may not be aware how unfairly many farmers get paid so I love to hear they not only pay the farmers fairly but that they pay premium prices! I love that they are so passionate about creating a sustainable global environment overall!
For my Organic India Review I received a variety of products including: 7 boxes of tea (Original, Sweet Rose, Red Mango, Honey Chamomile, Pomegranate Green and Peppermint), Organic Whole Husk Psyllium and a mason jar glass with straw.
Organic India Review Tulsi Tea and Psyllium Husk
I was really impressed by the variety! I love that all of the varieties include Tulsi and all the benefits Tulsi offers. It is known as an adaptogenic herb. If you’re not familiar with adaptogens, they are shown to support the body’s immune system while also relieving the body’s negative reaction to stress. They help the body adapt to environmental, physical and emotional stressors, support normal functions, and restore balance.
In addition to each of the teas having the benefits of the Tulsi, each tea also then has its own benefit based on the other ingredients. The key benefit is noted under the type. Because all of the tea has the Tulsi, the first benefit listed is always “Stress Relieving,” and the the additional key benefit is listed next. The benefits of the tea I received includes:

  • Original – Stress-Relieving & Energizing
  • Sweet Rose – Stress-Relieving & Magical
  • Red Mango – Stress-Relieving & Nurturing
  • Honey Chamomile – Stress-Relieving & Restorative
  • Pomegranate Green – Stress-Relieving & Invigorating
  • Raspberry Peach – Stress-Relieving & Detoxifying
  • Peppermint – Stress-Relieving & Refreshing

All of the teas are caffeine free with the exception of the Pomegranate Green which contains Green Tea.
I absolutely love hot tea, but what I found interesting is that it’s noted that to reap the most benefits, it’s best to drink the tea cold. I was so surprised to discover this! Of course, then I understood why I received the mason jar glass with straw!
Organic India Review Tulsi Tea
I have really been enjoying the tea. I have really found all varieties to be soothing and relaxing. I do have to note, I have not used the Peppermint. I avoid peppermint because it triggers my reflux. I have tried all the other varieties and have enjoyed all.
The Rose is the most unique simply because it’s rose! I’ve never had anything with rose! I love the Honey Chamomile, and it’s the perfect season for it. I’ve been having congestion and sore throats, and the Honey Chamomile has been wonderful.
I have also been using the Organic Whole Husk Psyllium regularly and have been absolutely amazed (and relieved) by the benefits. I have digestive issues which are made worse by medications. Since using the Whole Husk Psyllium they have greatly improved! A fiber supplement that is Certified Organic! I simply add a Tablespoon to my water and that’s it!

100% Juice Kids Love – good2grow Review #momsmeet

July 27, 2014 by Emilee Evans

Finding a juice without added sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives can be tough. Finding a healthy juice kids actually enjoy can definitely be challenging. So how do you sort through all of the options and find something that your kids love that is 100% juice?
good2gro review
Disclosure: I received this product for free from the sponsor of the Moms Meet program, May Media Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer to facilitate my good2grow review. As a Moms Meet blogger, I agreed to use this product and post my opinion on my blog. My opinions do not necessarily reflect the opinions of May Media Group LLC or the manufacturer of the product.
That’s where good2gro comes in! good2gro offers 100% juice and fruit and veggie blends without all that added ingredients we try to avoid. Not only are the good2grow juices a healthier option, but they are juices kids love! They offer a variety of juices and blends for a variety of tastes. Varieties include: 100% Apple Juice, 40% less sugar Apple Juice and purified water, 100% Fruit Punch, Tropical Fruit Medley V-Blend, Strawberry Kiwi V-Blend, and Organic 100% Apple Juice.
What may be most appealing to many kids, though, are the great bottles! They have no spill lids with a large variety of popular characters. As a mom, I can appreciate the no spill lids. I’ve cleaned up my fair share of juice spills. Stains, stickiness, and all that “fun” stuff. All three of our children have special needs and have both gross motor and fine motor skills challenges, so spills are definitely not uncommon around here! You can turn them upside down and not spill a drop! It’s wonderful! These fun character lids are great for both kids and parents!
good2grow review
As an eco-conscious consumer, I also appreciate that the bottles are BPA-free, non-GMO, recyclable, dishwasher safe, and reusable. Did you catch the last part? Dishwasher safe and reusable! I love it! Of course, this includes the lids. For convenience there are also refill bottles as well. Although I found the individual bottles at a variety of stores, I could only find the refills at Kroger stores in our area. The best part is, though, they have a great store locator, and you can select that you’re looking for a refill pack and see the locations that carry them.
For our review, we received full value product coupons for two bottles and two refill packs. Of course, since we have three children, I let them all three pick out a bottle. That was actually the hardest part because they liked so many of them! We will be building a collection! They finally settled on which character they would like to get on that shopping trip.
good2grow review
They love their bottles and ask to use them all the time. They were definitely excited when we picked up refill bottles because it isn’t just the bottles they loved – they loved the juice as well. For the refills I got the Apple Juice and the Tropical Fruit Medley V-Blend. It turns out, the Tropical Fruit Medley V-Blend was a big hit. So I love that they were getting a combined serving of fruits and vegetables plus 100% of the recommended daily Vitamin C intake!
Overall, we love good2grow juice! When I say “we,” I definitely mean it! As a mom, I love what good2gro offers for our kids and the benefits for me as a mom as well! I also appreciate the benefits as an eco-conscious consumer as well. They are a big win in this house!

Rogers Family Organic Coffee {Review}

December 20, 2013 by Emilee Evans

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Organic Coffee
I love coffee! A challenge is finding a coffee that I enjoy that also doesn’t make me worried about what’s in it. I was very excited to try Rogers Family Company Organic Coffee. Their coffee isn’t just a label. It is USDA certified organic – 100% organic, and that is something I can feel good about! The Rogers Family Company has been providing 100% shade-grown, Arabica coffees and sustainably-grown teas for over 33 years!
For my review I received Six 2 oz. Trial sizes of a variety of their 100% Organic Coffees, and the only way to do them justice is to talk about each one individually! One thing I did notice about ALL of the varieties is they all smell so FRESH when you open the bags. It is wonderful!

Gorilla Decaf

The 100% Organic Gorilla Decaf Coffee is described as being “strong yet mellow.” It is decaffeinated by using the Natural Water Process. I do think “strong yet mellow” is an accurate description! Although it is hard to choose a favorite, I would have to say this is actually my favorite. The taste is so smooth while still having plenty of flavor. Some may find this totally bizarre, but I actually like to have a cup of coffee in the evening when I’m working online, and so not only is this my favorite because of the taste but also because the decaf makes it perfect for my evening coffee! I am actually not one to “stay awake” due to caffeine anyway, but less caffeine in the evening is best I’m sure!

Hurricane Expresso

The 100% Organic Hurricane Expresso Coffee is described as having a “whirlwind of dark roasts blended to give a potent, vibrant cup with a calm aftertaste.” I personally lean more on the side of medium to even light roasts whereas my husband favors the dark roasts. For him, it’s the darker the better. I feared this would be too dark for my taste, so I thought he would be better suited to review it, but he insisted I try it as well. Although it is a dark roast, both he and I enjoyed it. That is rare! I’m glad he told me to try it, though! It really is full of flavor and yet smooth, too. I was pleasantly surprised!

Zen Blend

The 100% Organic Zen Blend Coffee is described as “a perfect balance of Central American arabicas. Light and smooth, for a meditative start to your day.” As you may guess, this was right up my alley! Light and smooth is just what I like, and the Zen Blend really delivered. Again, it smelled so FRESH. I had to be careful with the Zen Blend because this was one I could have too many cups if I wasn’t counting! It’s so smooth I could just drink it all day!
Organic Coffee Review

Java Love

The 100% Organic Java Love Coffee is described as “an exotic and syrupy blend of Indonesian and Latin American coffees.” I’m not sure how to describe this blend myself other than “unique.” I haven’t tasted anything quite like it, and that is a compliment! Unique is good! It is flavorful and the perfect coffee for a change in routine!

French Roast

The 100% Organic French Roast Coffee is what you would expect with the name “French Roast.” A smoky, bold taste. As I mentioned, I don’t tend to prefer the dark roasts, but I don’t necessarily dislike them, either. I had my husband review it with me as well, though, to give an opinion from someone who prefers the dark roasts. Compared to other French Roast coffees I can say we have been missing out. Rogers Family Organic French Roast Coffee just tastes so fresh. Others taste stale in comparison. I knew it would be different as soon as we opened the pack and smelled it! If you are a fan of French Roast, you definitely need to try it!

Breakfast Blend

The 100% Organic Breakfast Blend Coffee is described as “a bright and flavorful blend of the finest, organic Central and South American coffees. A perfect way to start the morning.” I will have to agree. Just like I loved the Gorilla Decaf at night, the Breakfast Blend was great in the morning! It’s a regular roast, both smooth and fresh. Perfect for that pick me up I need!
Overall, I am so impressed with the Rogers Family Organic Coffee. They all offer so much flavor and taste so fresh. I also love that the Rogers Family Company takes very seriously the quality of their coffee. Not only are they 100% organic, but they care about how they are grown as well. They are only grown on farms that have specifically become certified organic as well! Talk about going the extra mile to ensure the best! See more about how their coffee is Responsibly Grown.
