Adorable Pitter Patter Dress from TwirlyGirl

Our daughter LOVES dresses. In fact, she would probably be happy to just wear a dress every day! She is also an active girl that likes the outdoors as well, so when choosing the right dresses for her I look for something girly and pretty but also comfortable and flexible. That’s why I was excited to review one of their kid party dresses. Their kids dresses for parties like these are just what Aurora needs to feel pretty, have a beautiful twirl (a dress that flares out while she twirls is a must!) and still have a light material so she can run and play!
She was excited before we even unwrapped it because it was wrapped up in beautiful material and ribbons!
TwirlyGirl Review
When we unwrapped it, though, and she first saw her Pitter Patter kids party dress, she was so excited to try it on. In fact, she had to try it on immediately! Her first impression was the beautiful heart, flowers and bright colors. She also loved how soft the material was. Because she has Sensory Processing Disorder, things like seems, tags, rough material, etc. can really make her feel uncomfortable. Sometimes she is even hesitant to try new clothes on. Not this dress, though!

She wanted me to take pictures right away, too! She didn’t even allow me time to fix up her hair! She was ready to show it off and try it out! She definitely loves the soft material and the fact that it doesn’t have itchy seams. In fact, this is one of the few pieces of clothing she wears without any complaints at all!
The back of the dress has the tag on the outside rather than the inside which also means there were no complaints or a need to cut off a tag. That’s also a big plus for this momma who cuts off many tags since we have another child who has sensory aversion to clothing textures as well! Another plus for me is that it’s machine washable. No handwashing necessary, and it comes out looking just as good!

Although we had already gotten Aurora her new dress for Easter, she now insisted she wear her new Pitter Patter kids party dress instead. And why not? What an appropriate occasion for one of these beautiful kids dresses for parties. She was able to enjoy the warm weather in a nice material that isn’t too hot, she was able to show off her beautiful twirl and she was able to remain comfortable the whole day. It was a long, busy day with a lot of different activities, so that was important!

She has worn her TwirlyGirl Pitter Patter dress, which is how I know it stands up great to washing! I think it’s pretty safe to say it’s her new favorite dress!

The Princess Dress Review and Giveaway {over}

Shopping for the perfect princess dress can be tough! Especially when your princess is so petite for her age! So where can we go to find a good princess dress for her size? If we shop at the local stores where they sell maybe 2 or 3 different varieties of dress up clothes they are all too big for her. It’s so frustrating, and disappointing. Apparently I’m not the only one who has had trouble find beautiful princess dresses in the local stores, though. This is exactly why ThePrincessDress.com was created! They had the same frustration! ThePrincessDress.com uses a variety of manufacturers, so they can offer a variety of products that the little princess (or princesses) in your life are bound to love. Maybe they aren’t that “in” to princesses. That’s OK! ThePrincessDress.com has some other incredibly cute costumes and accessories as well. They have many cute fairy costumes, too.
For our review we received a Rose Princess Purple Costume with a Deluxe Purple Fairy Halo. Aurora was in love! We received the package right before we were going to leave for our long weekend out of town, so we HAD to take it with us so she could show all of our friends and family in Houston. She had so much fun modeling it for me and her Grandma. She was dancing around and did some poses by the flowers for an extra effect. I love that she enjoys dressing up and dancing around all pretty because I was such a tomboy! Of course, by that evening she was out catching fish while still dancing around in her princess dress!
Both pieces (the dress and the halo) were sturdy, though, so although she chose to wore it for more than just a little bit I wasn’t worried that it would get ruined. Dirty, yes, but I can fix dirty! I was really impressed by the quality because I am so used to seeing costumes of the same price that tear easily, are flimsy, etc., but this dress was solidly and beautifully made!

Princess

I am very excited to have found ThePrincessDress.com because now I know there is a “one stop shop” where I can get fun, pretty dress up clothes for Aurora. She loves fairies just as much as princesses, so it’s great that they have fairy costumes available as well! She really enjoys dressing up, and I’m glad I know there is a place I can count on for a variety of dress up clothes that I know she will both enjoy and will have a variety available in her size!

Sparkle Farms Bloomer Shorts Review

Sparkle Farm Bloomer Shorts are cute panties that are little shorts. They are great for wearing under dresses or skirts – particularly when you have a daughter like ours that loves to wear dresses but also loves to cartwheel, jump, and other things that aren’t “lady like” when wearing a dress! Yet, she LOVES to wear dresses, and almost always has one on. Even when we go fishing or playing on the playground she still wants to wear one. Unfortunately, though, due to having Sensory Processing Disorder getting her to also agree to wear shorts or pants under her dress was always quite a fight. She didn’t like the feel of the extra layers of the dress over the pants or shorts plus panties underneath. The Sparkle Farm Bloomer Shorts are a great solution for her!
For my review we received 3 pairs of Sparkle Farm Bloomers in pink, white, and purple, so there is a color that will match everything she wears! They even came in a super cute bag with a clip! Now she doesn’t have to wear a pair of shorts or pants under her dresses or skirts because the Bloomer Shorts look just like shorts without that extra layer that bothers her! Plus they have a cute little rhinestone embellishment that just adds to that cute look!

In fact, the Sparkle Farm Bloomer Shorts fit another need for Aurora! Because they are designed more like shorts but still with a snug fit they don’t bunch up on her, so she’s also worn them under her regular pants or jeans when she’s not wearing a dress. For homeschool Co-Op she has a Physical Education class, so she does have to wear shorts or pants, and since wearing the bloomers there has been less complaining about her panties bunching up and having to fix them. She always will describe it as feeling “itchy,” but she hasn’t complained about that with the Bloomer Shorts!
So, although they definitely fit the need of no longer needing shorts or pants under her skirts or dresses they also fit the need of being more comfortable for her sensory needs as well! I am definitely glad we discovered Sparkle Farms Bloomer Shorts!
