Dr. Scholl's® For Her High Heel Insoles {Review}

July 28, 2013 by Emilee Evans

Disclosure: I received the Dr. Scholl’s® For Her High Heel Insoles complimentary from Influenster in my Sunkissed VoxBox. All opinions are 100% my own.
Dr Scholls
Not too long ago I shared how much I had been enjoying the Dr. Scholl’s Massaging Gel insoles in my Grover tennis shoes. After posting that review I got a couple of comments from ladies who have tried the Dr. Scholl’s For Her High Heel Insoles and said they were in love with them as well! Because I had experienced such relief with the Massaging Gel Insoles I was really curious about the High Heel Insoles. Could someone like me with chronic pain really wear high heels again? It has been so long!
Luckily, I was still holding on to a few pairs so I could explore some solutions. So when I discovered the Dr. Scholl’s For Her High Heel Insoles in my Influenster Sun VoxBox I was extremely excited! I was ready to scour through the boxes in the garage to find a pair of heels that I had put away in storage! I chose my Mary Janes because I love to wear jeans, and they go with jeans or a nice skirt or dress, so I knew they were the perfect option! I put the insoles in and got to walking!
I put the High Heel Insoles to the test right away and walked down to our mailbox at the end of the street. Walking in heels was a bit awkward for me because it really has been a long time since I had worn them, but I was pleased with the difference! Usually I wouldn’t last more than a few minutes with heels on! I walked to the mailbox and back, and my feet didn’t even hurt! Not only did I feel comfort in the balls of my feet, but I noticed they offer arch support as well! They also stay in place and don’t slide around, which is really nice. They are clear as you may see in my picture so if you wear strappy heels they shouldn’t be noticeable.
I think it’s best for me to stick to wedges and chunky heels, but I am happy to say I love my heels again! I am so happy I can wear my Mary Janes again, and I’m encouraged to dig through the boxes for some of my other favorites now, too, before sending that box away for good!

Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics Review

July 26, 2013 by Emilee Evans

Disclosure: I received the Goody Ouchless Riboon Elastics complimentary influenster in my SunKissed VoxBox. All opinions are my own.
hair bands
The Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics have such a unique look from a traditional hair band. Because I often wear my hair up I love to mix up the look, so I was really excited to see hair elastics with such a unique look! How have I not seen them before?
I love the various colors of these hair elastics as well as the style because I can also wear them on my wrist comfortably. It not only looks cute on my wrist, but I then have a hair elastic with me any time I need one. Because it gets so hot and humid here there are many times I go without having my hair up but quickly change my mind, so this has definitely come in handy!
Mostly, though, I have been using them for a standard ponytail. I know it’s boring, but as I mentioned – it’s HOT! I do everything I can to keep my hair up and off my neck and shoulders particularly when I’m outside or working around the house. I tried to do a loose low ponytail to really take advantage of the cute style of these elastics, but unfortunately, my shortest layers are still too short. So they would fall out, and it ended up not looking very cute at all! So, a regular old ponytail would have to suffice!
Goody Elastics
Let’s set style aside and talk function! These Ribbon Elastics really do their job! I have thick hair, and I have a hard time particularly with hair bands. I need something that won’t slip or get stretched out. The Goody Ouchless Ribbon Elastics have held up well! The elasticity is strong, they haven’t fallen out or gotten loose, they don’t pull my hair when I’m taking them out, and they haven’t gotten stretched out.
Overall, I’m happy with both their style and function! Goody has delivered once again! Check out a couple of other Goody products I have reviewed:
The Goody QuikStyle Half-Round Styler Brush (which I love so much I bought the paddle brush as well!)
and The Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin

AVEENO POSITIVELY RADIANT Intensive Night Cream Review

May 6, 2013 by Emilee Evans

Night Cream
I received AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® Intensive Night Cream complimentary from Influenster. The AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® Intensive Night Cream, formulated with ACTIVE NATURALS® Total Soy Complex and vitamin B3, helps to reduce the appearance of discoloration, uneven tone and blotchiness, revealing healthier-looking skin. Plus, it’s gentle enough to use every night!

My review:

I have actually been using AVEENO® CLEAR COMPLEXION Foaming Cleanser for a while now, so when I had the chance to try the POSITIVELY RADIANT® Intensive Night Cream of course I was excited! It smells divine, and you really do need just a little bit. I imagine it will last a while! Plus, it’s not a tedious product to apply. You simply wash your face as usual and apply it right before you go to bed. It works while you sleep! When I wake up my face still smells so good and feels soft. It definitely gives my skin a nice, bright appearance! I think “radiant” fits it well. I also like that it’s oil free so it doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. The last thing you want from a product you’ll be putting on before bed is a greasy feeling! So if you’re in the market for a night cream I would definitely recommend AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® Intensive Night Cream!

Goody QuikStyle Half-Round Styler Brush Review

January 14, 2013 by Emilee Evans

Goody Brush

The GOODY® QUIKSTYLE™ brush works like a towel and brush in one. The super absorbent (and antimicrobial) microfiber removes 30% of water from wet hair to help speed your drying time! You can effortlessly detangle right out of the shower and continue using it while you blow dry!

My review:

For my review I received the Goody QuikStyle Half-Round Styler brush. I have really thick hair, so it takes so long for my hair to dry. I don’t like to blow dry it for a long time, though, because it gets so dry. This brush is just what I need! It cuts down the dry time, and I can even let my hair air dry and brush it a few times throughout, and it looks sleeker and dries faster! The microfiber really does help the dry time, and the half-round style really helps me to brush under those silly hairs that like to stick out! I’ve found I can also use it for an “everyday” brush as well and love it just the same. I also like that the microfiber is antimicrobial! There really isn’t much I DON’T like about this brush. I only regret that I didn’t get one sooner! I see ads for it everywhere, but it wasn’t until I received it in my VoxBox that I realized the purpose of the microfiber. What a great idea! I’m pretty picky with bristle texture as well, and the bristle texture of this brush is nice as well.  The handle is comfortable to hold and didn’t put strain on my hands, which is important because I have physical issues with my hands. I want to get the paddle brush as well! Overall, whether you’re looking to cut down dry time or just looking for a new every day brush, I would recommend this brush.
