Each year consumers vote for their favorite innovative products of the past year. Product of the Year USA is the largest consumer-voted award for product innovation, and the winners were officially announced on February 12, 2016. Product of the Year USA was established 29 years ago and now operates in 42 countries with the goal of guiding consumers to the best products on the shelf while also rewarding manufacturers for quality and innovation. The winning products are selected through the votes of over 40,000 consumers in a national representative survey each year conducted by research partner TNS, which is a global leader in consumer research.
Product of the Year takes submissions of innovative products launched within the previous year which are then divided into categories. One product is then named the winner of that category based on the survey results.

My Experience with the 2016 Product of the Year Award Winners
I had the opportunity to review some of the 2016 Product of the Year Award Winners. For my review I received a random assortment of products (as well as coupons for some of the perishable food items) in a fabulous bag. I was definitely excited to check them out and see if I may have some new favorites!
Do you know what is really neat? I actually hadn’t tried any of these products yet, so it was fun to have the opportunity to try them! As an eco-friendly consumer, though, I was definitely hoping to see more eco-friendly products this year.
Some of my favorites from the products I received were the Milk-Bone® Good Morning™ Daily Vitamin Treats (OK, well, I guess they’re technically our dog’s favorite, but I love that they are a daily vitamin she enjoys!), the Skinny Cow Creamy Iced Coffee, CLEAR CARE® PLUS (I’ve seen a huge difference in my contacts!), and the kids, of course, loved the candy. OK, I admit, I did, too!
