Fishing Fridays – Lake Livingston

October 5, 2012 by Emilee Evans

I have something different to share for today’s Fishing Friday! We’re out at my grandparents’ lake house on Lake Livingston, and we took the boat out! The kids have been in our canoe with the little trolling motor, but it was only for a short time because our youngest went into sensory meltdown from the life jacket. We’ve been having him wear his life jacket randomly in hopes that he would get used to it. It was a but of a fight, but he eventually obliged, and we were off on the boat for fishing on Lake Livingston!

It was also such a beautiful day! Even though we’re about 3 hours from home we had all of our own fishing stuff with us! They have fishing stuff here, so we didn’t need it, but it rarely leaves our SUV! Haha We had gotten both minnows and worms from the bait shop and tried out a few different things! Unfortunately, despite having bites on all different types of bait we didn’t hook anything. Our daughter was a bit frustrated because just a few days ago she caught 5 fish just one right after another! She had no patience to not catch anything! We all still had a great time, though, and we really enjoyed the wonderful experience!

Plus we got to see a beautiful sunset from a new view!

This is the only fishing we’ll get to do on our little trip because we’ll be extremely busy with other things, so I’m glad we were able to enjoy some fishing time! 🙂
