It’s that time of year when we spend a lot of time outdoors. My husband particularly loves his time outdoors, and a outdoorsman needs a certain type of watch. Shiny metal watches are too flashy and heavy. Plastic watches get sweaty underneath. That’s why a wood watch is the ideal outdoorsman watch.

My husband has been loving his JORD Fieldcrest Zebrawood and Maple Wood Watch. It not only looks nice, but it’s comfortable for him as well. Having previously reviewed a JORD Fieldcrest Watch he loves the update to the clasp so that there is no metal showing on the wrist at all. It still functions easily and fits well.
What a great outdoorsman watch, right? He doesn’t feel restricted when he’s fishing or practicing his shot. Of course, it also helps to keep track of time without getting out a phone, which can be so easy to rely on! Who has time to get a phone out when you’re having fun outdoors?

Many of the JORD Wood Watches would make for a great outdoorsman watch. I think the Fieldcrest is a great choice because it has a wood face as well. This stainless steel watch has a unique face that includes day, date and 24 hour subdials. It is water resistant up to 165 feet. It has a really sleek look that could be paired with both a casual and professional look.
My husband particularly likes to wear this watch with a more dressed up/professional look. With the silver-tone band and black sunray dial it is easy to pair with a variety of styles. My husband tends to not think about style that much, so having a watch that goes so well with many colors and style is definitely an advantage!
My husband really likes the unique look of this watch (as do I). It’s definitely eye-catching! He finds that it fits well and is easy to put on and take off without fuss. It has a Fold-Over Clasp with Double Push-Button Safety. Overall, he really enjoys both the style and functionality.

This Mantry crate included a variety of six Mexican inspired goodness from makers north of the Rio Grande. Once again, I was impressed by the variety and quality of the products and love the packaging!
The products in this crate include:

Olive & Sinclair Cinnamon Chili Bar. This chocolate treat from Nashville, TN combines a unique ceylon cinnamon with a hint of cayenne. When first taking a bite you can barely notice the cayenne, but you will! It gives just a little kick!
Aurelia’s Dry-Cured Choriza. Bringing Texas to us here in Ohio, this tasty, garlicky chorizo is perfect cut up as an appetizer, with crackers, or in a recipe. It does pack a punch!
Just Cook Ancho Rub. My husband LOVES to use rub when he grills and bakes. This rub comes from San Francisco and combines ancho chiles, smoky chipotle, and lemon peel. He used it on chicken the other night, and it is a little spicy but a little bit sweet as well. It has a unique flavor and a nice balance.
NW Elixirs Salsa Verde. This Salsa Verde has been perfected in Portland, OR and is known to be one of the best in the USA.
Liber & Co. Texas Grapefruit Shrub. More Texas goodies! This Grapefruit Shrub is an infusion of fruit, vinegar, and sugar used for mixed drinks or sodas.
Fiddyment Farms Chilli Lime Pistachios. You will want to have a drink ready for these pistachios from Lincoln, CA! David Fiddyment has been growing, roasting and packing premium pistachios on his family farm for 30 years!

Once again, Mantry delivered! My husband was impressed by the variety of the products offered in the crate. I love that they pack it in a handmade crate and offer great themes. I don’t know about you, but I can never figure out what to get my husband for Valentine’s Day, and Mantry would definitely be an awesome gift! Finding a good subscription box for men can be hard. There really just aren’t that many. For my review, I received a red tie with prints for my husband.

I was automatically impressed by the look of the tie when I opened it. I love the color and design. It is very eye-catching yet professional. After opening it and checking it out further I could tell this was a quality tie. The material is smooth and thick. After giving it to my husband, he expressed that he also likes the material and appreciates that it is thick and sturdy. A problem he has had in the past is that the ties have been too flimsy, which leaves him frustrated. They look worn quickly and also get physically worn quickly as well.
We also both agree that we love the blue underneath to accent the red. It really gives the tie character. Overall, he’s very happy with and impressed by both the look and the quality of the tie. He would definitely love to receive one each month!
I think Root Bizzle Monthly Tie Club is a great subscription box for men that almost any man can appreciate, but I would say beyond appreciation, it’s a great idea for men who wear ties for work or business or love to wear ties for fashion.
