PottyCover Review

March 6, 2013 by Emilee Evans

PottyCover

About the Product:

The PottyCover is a disposable toilet seat cover that covers the sides and the front of the toilet to keep away germs at public rest-rooms. It is also great for keeping messes controlled, too, because it is made of non-woven fabric coated with a layer of plastic, which creates a waterproof barrier between the toilet and the user. The PottyCover has the largest coverage of all seat covers on the market! Each seat cover is individually packaged in a small, easy to open bag that makes it super easy to always keep one or two in a purse or a back pocket.
Using a public bathrooms with children can be stressful – particularly when they have special needs like mine. With PottyCovers the whole family can feel safe knowing that even at the dirtiest bathrooms they will be protected from germs. They designed this product for kids, but it has become popular with adult consumers as well.

My review:

I was really excited to try PottyCovers because having our daughter in particular with Sensory Processing Disorder using public restrooms is a big deal for her. She often complains about sitting on the toilets at home most of the time! The biggest challenge we have is she is so petite that a typical size public toilet means she either has to sit on it, sit on her hands, put toilet paper down (which she hates), or I have to hold her over it (which I can’t generally do because of my pain condition.) So needless to say, if there weren’t disposable liners available we were out of luck. Even then the disposable liners are crinkly and irritating. So the PottyCover really meets that need for us. She can feel better about sitting on any toilet – including our toilets at home. Because of the material it feels soft and doesn’t irritate her. Because it covers such a broad area she also isn’t complaining about her legs touching the toilet in the front. Plus I feel better knowing that she isn’t sitting directly on the public toilet seats!! I love that they come in small, convenient packs, too because I already have enough large items I tote around in my bag having three children, so anything to save space is a definite bonus! I definitely agree that they’re great for adults as well. Everybody in the family can use them! And I love that they’re water proof so if somebody (like our oldest son!) “misses” there is no wiping off the seat because the mess is contained on the liner. Just crumple it up and throw it away! Overall, I’m really happy with the PottyCovers, and I think they’re a nice product for everyone in the family and for us have been particularly helpful with our daughter!

Potty Cover

A pack of PottyCover sells for $5.99 and it is available on Amazon, Ebay, all Buy Buy Baby stores around the country and at select Bed Bath & Beyond stores.
