Beautiful Skin with ERASA XEP-30 {Holiday Gift Guide 2015}

December 14, 2015 by Emilee Evans

Skin care is something I have started to embrace more as I get older. Of course, it’s important to start caring for your skin properly before you start seeing signs of aging, but it’s never too late to start either! Choosing a high quality skin care is important! Plus, it makes a great gift!
ERASA XEP-30
Disclosure: I received a complimentary product to facilitate my ERASA review. Regardless, all opinions are my own.
ERASA XEP-30 is a new, luxury skin care product that introduces the power of the patented neuropeptide XEP-30 for the very first time to the cosmetics market. XEP-30 is a biomimetic, synthetic neuropeptide that helps relax the surface of the skin to help erase the appearance of wrinkles. This also includes deep frown and expression lines.
ERASA not only offers the XEP-30 but also combines it with two other strong neuropeptides, creating the ultimate tri-peptide complex. It also includes anti-inflammatories and collagen boosters. ERASA will help to correct and repair loss of elasticity and dullness. ERASA can help improve skin tone and texture for beautiful skin.
For my review I received a bottle of ERASA XEP-30.
ERASA Review XEP 30
I have been using ERASA twice a day as recommended. It has a slightly thicker consistency and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling on my face after use. Plus I can still use my regular moisturizer after use. It recommends 2-3 pumps but I found because of the thicker consistency I needed a little more. I, personally, use 4 pumps. Despite the consistency, though, it does spread easily on the skin and takes little time to absorb.
Although I haven’t yet shown signs of aging like wrinkles and fine lines, I have noticed improved texture on my face as well as the dark circles under my eyes. It feels soft and looks brighter. It has a nice pleasant scent, and I’ve enjoyed adding it to my skin care regiment. I’m hoping with regular use, it means I can avoid showing those fine lines and wrinkles! I highly believe in taking care of your skin now.
ERASA Review Texture
It has this pretty cream and pink almost shimmery look, which is beautiful but had me concerned. As an eco-friendly consumer, I do have some concerns about some of the ingredients, though I was glad to see it didn’t contain any of my “banned ingredients.”
Overall, I’ve been enjoying the results with ERASA XEP-30. My skin looks nicer and it’s easy to incorporate into my daily skin care routine!

Proactiv Plus Review

December 15, 2014 by Emilee Evans

When I was younger, my skin care concerns were very minimal. As a teenager I had the occasional breakout, but nothing that made me panic. Fast forward 10 years later when I’m in my early 30’s and have three children, and my face is a mess! What gives? Adult acne can be frustrating and discouraging. I already have to battle other skin concerns like fine lines, dark spots, etc., but blemishes? In my 30’s?
Disclosure: I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Influence-Central for Proacitv+. I received samples of Proactiv+ to facilitate my review and a thank you item for participating. Regardless, all opinions are my own.
Proactiv Plus Review
As you probably know, I am very cautious with ingredients. I have tried every natural solution available, and although I see occasional improvement, I was definitely open to trying something else hoping for long-term improvement. I have one side of my face that is particularly stubborn, and if you pay close attention, you may notice I rarely show that side of my face in pictures. I’m extremely self-conscious about it, and even without makeup I feel like it’s still pretty noticeable.
Proactiv Plus appealed to me because it is a 3-step skin care system not only designed to fight acne, but also offers additional skin care benefits as well like improvement in texture, tone pore appearance and brightness.

I have been using Proactiv+ for just over one month twice a day as recommended. I have definitely noticed improvement in my skin’s tone and texture. Although my problem area is still a bit of a problem area, after comparing the “Before” and “After” pictures I can see there is a difference! The difference in my skin health is definitely apparent, and the blemishes aren’t as apparent.
Proactiv+ Review
I am definitely going to keep using it regularly because I feel like I could finally have a solution to my blemishes. My skin definitely looks and feels healthier, and I feel like the blemishes will continue to diminish. The only disadvantage I see is that my skin does flake now, and when I’m putting on my foundation, I have flakes that can cause a mess while I’m doing makeup in the car (which I do a lot!), so I may have to switch to a powder to avoid this problem. If my blemishes continue to diminish I won’t have to wear it at all, though!
The blemishes on my chin are pretty much gone, and see how my pores and skin tone have improved all over!
Proactiv Plus Before and After
I am definitely glad I took a chance with Proactiv+. I love the way my skin looks and feels now, and I can’t wait to see continued results. I love the 3-step system and particularly love the Complexion Perfecting Hydrator. My skin feels so soft after applying!

Born Skincare Review

February 5, 2014 by Emilee Evans

Disclosure: I received the products mentioned to facilitate my review. Regardless, I only recommend products I feed would be good for my readers. All opinions are my own and those of my family.
Organic Skin care review
I am always on the lookout for organic skin care because truly organic skin care is hard to find! I was excited to have the opportunity to review Born Skincare. Born Skincare offers an organic skin care line that is ToxicFree and infused with grapes. In fact, their skin care is unique because each ingredient is hand selected. That is a lot of dedication! They spent years researching grapes and the benefits of grapes for the skin.
Their first line of skin care was released in February 2013, which is called The Source Collection. For my review, I received four samples from The Source Collection.
The Source For Skin
The Source for Skin is 100% pure Cabernet oil. It was recommended to use as a nightly moisturizer. Some benefits noted for The Source for Skin are: it’s a natural source of Vitamin E, so it is a suitable anti-aging moisturizer for all skin types that hydrates the skin while providing the nutrients and vitamins it needs as well. It also contains antioxidants and can protect the skin from environmental pollutants.
Upon using The Source for Skin I noticed that although it is an oil it’s not really “runny” like you would expect from an oil. It has the consistency of a thicker oil and a pleasant natural scent. There were definitely no artificial fragrances or perfumes, which is something I appreciate! I only needed to use about five pumps to sufficiently spread it over my face and neck. I noticed that on my face it absorbed rather quickly but took a little more time to absorb on my neck. This wasn’t a big deal since I was applying it at night before going to sleep.
Upon waking up I definitely didn’t feel any oil on my skin, and it felt so soft and smooth! Although I actually the natural scent, it has mostly dissipated by morning. I’ve only been using it short term, so I can’t attest for the long term features, but I do know my skin feels softer after use.
organic skin care review
The Source for Men
My husband got to review The Source for Men. The Source for Men is a blend of organic oils and can be used as an aftershave or nightly moisturizer as well. It is noted to help with razor burn and loosen thick beard hair. It can also be used as a substitute for shaving cream or even mixed with shaving cream for a cleaner, sharper shave.
My husband generally doesn’t use shaving cream since so many of them have questionable ingredients, so this was a great opportunity to try something that may help his shave. He likes to use it both during his shave and as a nightly moisturizer. It has a more musky scent, which I’m glad to know is from the organic oils. It’s a really nice scent! He chooses to use it all over his face when he’s using it as a nightly moisturizer. He has noticed improvement with ease of shaving and softer skin.
The Source for Sensitive Skin
The Source for Sensitive Skin has a slightly thinner consistency than The Source for Skin. It is still thicker than basic oils, though. It is 100% pure Muscadine Oil and has a greener color. It is noted that muscadines contain the highest level of antioxidants which reap many benefits for the skin. It is also recommended as a nightly moisturizer, so I alternated it with The Source for Skin to get an idea of results from both. The Source for Sensitive Skin is noted for having benefits for eczema and other skin conditions and acts as a skin balancer for oily skin, which can help acne.
Again, I have only used it short term, so I haven’t yet seen the long term benefits, but my blemishes randomly flared up last week, and I did notice improvement when using The Source for Sensitive Skin. I imagine long term would have more effective benefits. It also has a nice natural scent that is different than The Source for Skin. It absorbs quickly on both my face and neck and leaves my skin feeling smooth. I’m really happy with how much calmer my blemish flare up felt after using it because it was pretty painful, too!
organic skin care review
The Source for Muscles
The Source for Muscles is a blend of organic oils: muscadine oil and eucalyptus oil. They are both noted to have natural anti-inflammatory properties and help alleviate muscle pain. If you have a lot of muscle aches and have been looking for something natural to alleviate them then this is a great option.
The Source for Muscles has a thicker oil consistency, and definitely favors the eucalyptus scent. In fact, upon use, it helped clear my stuffy nose, too! It was an added bonus! It did also help the muscles in my back, which are often tight. It has a slight cooling sensation. It is only slight, though, and definitely not too intense. Because it’s an oil it was also easy to use to really massage it in to the muscles.
Overall, I’m definitely happy with the Born Organic Skin Care samples I received. My personal favorite is The Source for Sensitive Skin, but I love that there are a variety of products with different benefits. Obviously, my husband’s favorite is The Source for Men. Also in their The Source Collection is The Source for Mothers, which is a combination of muscadine oil and coconut oil for pregnancy and beyond!

Renew your Skin with Oxygen Pür Pomegranate Serum

January 31, 2014 by Emilee Evans

Disclosure: I received a bottle of Oxygen Pür Pomegranate to facilitate my review. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. All opinions are my own.
Oxygen Pur Pomegranate Review
Back in October I shared my review of Oxygen Pür Booster Serum. In just under one month I had already started seeing improvement in my complexion. I often have redness in my cheeks and across my nose, and that was decreased greatly! I was so impressed and pleased. I was excited to continue using it for even more results. I also love that I can use it with other pure, natural skin care products to amplify their results. So, when I had the opportunity to try the Oxygen Pür Pomegranate Night Serum as well, I jumped at the opportunity!
The ingredients in Oxygen Pür Pomegranate Night Serum are just as pure of course! It is a combination of 100% pure oxygen and water, which are essential building blocks to young, healthy skin. In this case there are only four more ingredients: the Cellulose gelling agent, Microcare MTC, cold pressed pomegranate seed oil, and Lecithin made from natural sources. Simple ingredients I can read! The Oxygen Pür Pomegranate Night Serum doesn’t contain any harmful ingredients, is not tested on animals, and is fragrance free.
Oxygen Pür Pomegranate Night Serum is recommended for use with the Oxygen Pür Anti-Aging Oxygen Booster if possible. In that case, I was advised to use the Oxygen Booster in the morning and the Pomegranate Night Serum at night (I guess that might be obviously since it has “night” in the name! Ha!), though if you are only using the Pomegranate Serum you can use it twice a day (AM and PM) after washing your face. One pump was sufficient for use. I never needed more. If you are going to use it with other products, you would need to allow it to absorb completely before applying another product.
I used it in conjunction with the Oxygen Pür Anti-Aging Oxygen Booster as I had quite a bit left.
Oxygen Pur
The Pomegranate Serum helps with cell repair and healthier skin. It can also reduce the damage from the environment and foods.
I was able to use the Oxygen Pür Anti-Aging Oxygen Booster Serum in conjunction with the Pomegranate Night Serum for just under one month and have continued using the Pomegranate Night Serum for another few weeks. Just like the Oxygen Booster Serum, the Pomegranate Serum is so cool and refreshing! It has a thinner consistency that goes on smoothly, and I only needed to use a little bit. It absorbed quickly, so if I did choose to use another product at night, I didn’t have to wait around. After absorption, I could instantly feel how smooth and soft my skin was! It took me by surprise!
I no longer have the redness across my nose and cheeks and have had major improvement in my pores. I no longer have dry, flaky skin on my forehead, either! Although I still have some blemishes, they have been improved, and I think with continued use they will continue to improve. It is definitely something I am glad to have as part of my regular skin care routine.
