After 15 years, the Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops are back and made in the USA! They’ve been a trusted brand since 1870.
For my review I received both Cherry and Honey throat drops. I think “softish” really is a great description for the texture. They aren’t completely chewy like a gummy, but they’re not hard. The texture is perfect for me. Harder textures often make my mouth hurt because it’s very sensitive, so even if it helps my throat I generally regret the pain in my mouth later. The softish throat drops definitely alleviate this concern while still helping.
I wasn’t sure I’d be able to give them a review in regards to a sore throat, and although I didn’t get a nasty sore throat (for which I’m grateful!) I did have my usual issue with dry throat – particularly at night. I often cough a lot at night because my throat gets dry, so I used the throat drops when my throat was feeling dry and was able to keep it at bay! I love that they’re not filled with a bunch of medicine based ingredients, which I not only love for my own preference but because I feel better about giving it to my kids as well. (They are recommended for over age 3.) another important factor as far as ingredients is there are no food dyes. I always look for products without food dyes, so that is an important factor for me!
Both flavors were subtle, not overbearing, and didn’t have any kind of aftertaste. They come in both a bag or a little travel puck, which is perfect for on-the-go. They are also very reasonably priced and you can find them at your local CVS! Overall, I’m very happy with Pine Bros. softish throat drops, and I’m happy I found something safe to share with my family for their sore or dry throats as well!
