Krill Oil Review and Giveaway

Krill OilI have heard so many great things about krill oil that I was really excited to try it! Because of my various health concerns I knew I could really benefit from it. Looking more into it I learned the benefits far surpass fish oil, which is a supplement I take regularly, so I was eager to see the different! Like with any supplement, though, I know they are not all equal. Everest Nutrition Krill Oil has a pretty impressive background! It is extracted from Krill living deep within the waters surrounding the Antarctic.
So what’s so special about Krill Oil?*
Research from the scientific and medical communities confirms the incredible effects this oil can have in promoting heart and joint health, lowered cholesterol, improved moods and comfort during menstruation. Why is that important to me? Because I have ALL of those issues. I was born with a heart defect I had repaired when I was a teenager, so I definitely like to take care of my heart. I often have joint discomfort. I have a family history of high cholesterol, and by the time I was a teenager I already had high cholesterol (people found it hard to believe because I was thin, but cholesterol problems can be genetic). And yes, mood swings and my generic term “women issues” are extremely bad. So, you can imagine when I saw the health benefits of krill oil I about sprang out of my seat! Another big thing for me is taking the minimum amount of supplements needed to feel good. Who wants to take a handful of pills and capsules every day? I surely don’t! So if there is one supplement that can cover a broader area it is definitely on my “need to try it” list! And that is just the tip of the iceberg!

My review

I recently received Everest Nutrition Krill Oil for review but have only been taking it for a few days, so I can’t attest to long term effects as of now. With any supplement I think you definitely need to take them for at least a few weeks to truly reap the full benefits. I have felt a general sense of being more alert, though, which is great! I love that they are so easy to take. I even noticed the capsules are made from Tilapia (fish) and not some synthetic gelatin. That really impresses me! That is the one thing I dislike about supplements because they have benefits, but then they put it in a synthetic capsule! I also appreciated that it did not give me that nasty fish taste that I get with fish oil. So if the benefits are better than fish oil and I don’t get the horrible aftertaste that goes along with taking fish oil, to me that is definitely a win-win situation! I am excited to continue taking the krill oil long term!

I was contacted to do a review of NeoCell products. Prior to this, I was unfamiliar with their company. I was impressed to discover NeoCell Corporation is a leader in the natural supplement, skin care and health and wellness industries. They are the largest collagen company in the world! NeoCell products are designed to promote youth, beauty and wellness. Those are definitely things I am interested in! I was also glad to know they are all-natural and made in the USA! I also love that they give back through their work with Vitamin Angels and have a commitment to the environment.
For my review I received the Beauty Bursts – Soft Chews – Fruit Punch and the Collagen Beauty Builder. I was looking forward to improved hair, skin and nails, and after learning more about collagen I realized it could help improve my joint pain, too! I knew the relationship between collagen and hair, skin, nails, and joints, but I didn’t realize how important it was until I started learning more through NeoCell!
The Beauty Bursts are recommended to take 2-4 per day. I took 3-4 per day. They taste absolutely amazing! It’s like having a yummy treat with health and beauty benefits! It’s definitely a win-win! I was very excited that they ingredients are natural like they claim to be because it’s not uncommon to see artificial sweeteners and food dyes in health supplements these days. The NeoCell Beauty Bursts are exactly what they say they are, though – all natural! It makes the fact that they taste so great even better! They are also free of gluten and lactose!
Suggested use for the Collagen Beauty Builder is to take 3 tablets twice daily, which is what I did. Again, the ingredients are natural just as stated. The Collagen Beauty Builder is also free of: soy, wheat, lactose, starch, yeast, and (of course) artificial flavors. They are Gluten Free. They are a pretty standard size tablets, and I was able to take all 3 at the same time. See the short video below for more information on the Collagen Beauty Builder:

When it comes to supplement reviews it is sometimes hard to be able to provide results because the best results are when they are taken consistently for a period of time. I definitely noticed improvements, though! My nails are usually brittle and break easily, and I already have major improvement in their strength. I’ve also seen improvements in my skin. I have been having a lot of skin issues, but my skin is now a little “brighter” and smoother. The joint pain I tend to experience with weather changes has been much less intense. To notice these type of results after just under 2 weeks is a big deal to me! I also realized how important these nutraceuticals are for the outside of our body. Where we try all different types of products just for our hair, nails, skin, etc. many of us don’t think about the fact that we may need more support from the inside out. Now that I’ve been introduced to NeoCell and had a chance to try these supplements I know what I’ve been missing!
