Coffee that Gives Back – Life is good.

April 23, 2014 by Emilee Evans

Disclosure: I received the products mentioned to facilitate my coffee review. Regardless, all opinions are my own and those of my family.
Life is good. We’re always on the go, and that often means we take our food and beverages to go as well! Don’t you just love to sit and sip your coffee, though, and really enjoy it? That’s what Life is good. is encouraging everyone to do as they recently introduced their new coffee line.
Life is good. is all about spreading the power of optimism. They have a diverse product line and donates 10% of their net profit to help kids in need. Not only do they offer this great line of coffee line that is UTZ Certified, but they also have some great eco-friendly products as well!
For my review I received 3 bags of Life is good. coffee: S’more to Love, Happy Medium and Dark & Daring.
Life is good. coffee review
You may be wondering why there are separate pictures. Well, I received the package the day before we were heading up for a couple of nights at my grandparents’ lake house, and I was SO excited to try the S’more to Love, I had to take it with me! It has been my favorite ever since! It has such a unique flavor! Someone like myself who tends to add a lot of things to coffee can really appreciate a coffee that has a nice flavor. I don’t feel like I have to add a lot of the extras to it. Maybe just a little bit of sugar or stevia and not much cream at all. If you knew how much I add to “regular” coffee, that’s a big deal! This is a coffee I actually want to drink versus drinking coffee because I feel I need to drink it to keep me going. It’s definitely worth sitting down, sipping, and really enjoying it.
That’s not to say the Happy Medium and Dark & Daring aren’t good coffee, though. I, personally, don’t like dark coffee (as you can probably tell based on how much I add to it), but my husband does, so he was my Dark & Daring tester. He said it really has a nice, bold taste and as someone who doesn’t drink coffee as often, he said it’s a coffee he could also sit down and just enjoy.
Happy Medium really fits its name. It really is a nice medium. I still add quite a bit to medium roast coffee, but the base flavor is still really important. I have had some that I absolutely can’t stand, but Happy Medium is smooth and has a nice base flavor without being strong or overbearing. This is a medium roast coffee I can drink regularly.
Overall, I think it’s great that Life is good. now offers the new coffee line to further their desire to spread optimism (seriously, who doesn’t feel better after having coffee in the morning? Even better when it’s good coffee like this!) and giving back. Not only are they giving back with the 10% of their net profit going to kids in need, but being UTZ Certified means sustainable farming and better opportunities for farmers, their families, and our planet.
