Bambo Nature Eco-friendly Diapers Review

September 2, 2013 by Emilee Evans

Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. All opinions are my own.
Bambo Nature
We had to stop using cloth diapers a few months ago due to irritation that just wouldn’t go away despite trying every suggestion I was given. Our little guy isn’t ready to potty train just let, though, which isn’t surprising due to his special needs. Unfortunately, though, finding truly eco-friendly disposable diapers is hard, and it was hard to feel good about using them. Recently I had the chance to review Bambo Nature Premium Diapers.
I received both a Size 5 and Size 6 for review.
eco-friendly diapers
One thing I really like about Bambo Nature is they aren’t “all hype.” They have put their diapers through tests and carry multiple credentials, verifications, certifications, and eco-labels – more than any other brand! I was sent extensive information that is absolutely impressive. They truly put a lot of work into making a disposable diaper that is better for babies AND the environment. You can read more about how Bambo is good for the environment. While you are there be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page to read their Total Quality Management policy from the diapers to the packaging!
Bambo Nature is the only company that is certified 100% free of dangerous chemicals and all known allergens. I know it takes a lot to get those certifications, so that says a lot to me about the company. The diapers are also designed to prevent or significantly reduce the chance of rash. Given our issues as of lately, this was a big point for me. Since our little guy has Sensory Processing Disorder he is very sensitive to rash and irritation, which is why we had to make a switch. Knowing the Bambo Nature diapers can also help prevent or reduce the chance of rash is really important!

So how ARE the diapers?

I found Bambo Nature to be everything they say they are. I already knew the ingredients prior to the review, so I already knew they “passed my approval.” Just the fact that they actually disclose all of their ingredients is nice because it doesn’t leave anything to question. Some eco-conscious consumers may be surprised that they are white because we are often told eco-friendly diapers cannot be white. This is true if they used a “standard” bleaching process. They use environmentally safe ingredients and processes, though, for both the diaper and even the cute prints. They contain all raw ingredients and no optical brighteners.
They truly are trim, and we had absolutely no issues with leaking or poor absorption. In fact, they hold up better than most of the other diapers we have used! The elastic is both strong and flexible, absorption is great, and the fit is nice. Our little guy has thin legs, and that was not a problem at all. They held up great for our rough and very active preschooler! I really like how wide the elastic is because it just feels more secure. A problem I was having before is I’d actually rip off the tab (at which point he would laugh at me! haha), but I definitely didn’t have that problem with the Bambo Nature diapers. In fact, they’re so secure you’d have to be pulling REALLY hard for that to happen.
I think our son’s favorite part is the tiger on the size 6 diapers. He loves it! The size 5 just have a little teddy bear across the top, so that print wasn’t as exciting to him. I just love that they don’t use inks that aren’t based on heavy-metal-containing pigments to make them!
Bambo Nature offers everything we have been looking for in a disposable diaper! They are TRULY eco-friendly, they are secure and fit great, and they absorb! Although I do hope our 3 year old will potty train soon, I am happy to finally have found a good diaper until then! Not to mention, I was excited to see they also offer Training Pants for when he is ready to potty train! They have a great array of eco-friendly products on their site and offer free shipping on orders over $50! I definitely understand why they are rated the #1 eco-friendly diaper!

Kids iPad Case Review

July 24, 2013 by Emilee Evans

Disclosure: I received one or more of the products mentioned for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers and opinions are 100% my own.
Kids iPad Case
When kids use an iPad (especially younger kids) the case usually takes a pretty good beating, doesn’t it? No matter how sturdy it was we were still replacing the case for our kids’ iPad at least twice a year. Paying for an expensive case knowing it still wouldn’t even last a full year really didn’t seem like a good idea anymore. I must not be the only one who had thought of this! There is a kids iPad case that offers a great solution! The Kids iPad cases are not only kid-friendly, but can be purchased in a set of three for only $16.99! So if we do still have to replace the case twice a year we would only have to pay $16.99 and still have one case left!
Even if your children don’t have an iPad for themselves they may use yours, and you definitely don’t want them getting food or other things on YOUR case! The kids iPad case offers an extremely affordable alternative! When they use your iPad simply put it in one of the kids iPad cases, and you don’t have to worry about ruining your own case and know that the iPad is protected as well!
For our review we received both a white case and brown case. One feature I really love is that they are made in the USA. That is always a bonus! I also love that they are recyclable! So when it’s time to switch to a new one we can just recycle the previous one! If you have kids that love to draw they could even decorate it! They definitely gave me a flash-back moment when I used to cover my school books and draw on the cover. I loved doing that, and kids could definitely do that (or I guess we could, too!) with these covers! We haven’t yet, and I’m honestly not sure why! I think it’s because the boys have been using it more than the girls lately!

Ipad Case

I admit I was concerned the cases wouldn’t be very durable, but I am happy to say they are! In fact, we have used just one of the cases, and it has held up better than the last expensive case we had on it so far! I find myself getting far less worried over smudges on the case and nagging them about being careful with the case. It seems silly to want to protect the product that you purchase to protect the important part, right? I am so glad to not have to stress over it anymore!
Overall, I am very happy to have discovered the Kids iPad Case. They are durable, recyclable, extremely affordable, customizable (by you!), made in the USA, and extremely kid-friendly! For us, it is a much better alternative than purchasing an expensive case every few months!
