Encourage Imagination with My Pretend Place

September 28, 2014 by Emilee Evans

I love when our kids let their imagination run wild. It’s so much fun to watch them create stories from whatever they imagine!
Disclosure: I received a package from My Pretend Place to facilitate my review. Regardless, all opinions are my own and those of my family. This post contains affiliate links.
My Pretend Place
My Pretend Place offers a variety of great costumes for pretend play. Not only do they offer costumes, though, they offer a whole experience! In addition to corresponding products to enhance the pretend play experience, My Pretend Place also offers craft ideas, games, books, and more!
For our review we received the Astronaut Pretend Play Package. I was so excited with all it contains. This Pretend Play Package includes: Astronaut Costume Pretend Play Set (includes jumpsuit, silver space gloves, and shiny space helmet), Astronaut Handbook by Meghan McCarthy, Peel and Press sticker Space Mission activity, and 3 Packages of Astronaut Ice Cream. Great package, right?
My Pretend Place Astronaut Pretend Play Set
I appreciate that the Astronaut Costume is high quality. This is a costume our kids could wear over and over again without worrying about it getting torn up easily. Not only does it make a great every day pretend costume, but with Trick-or-Treat coming up soon, it would make a great Trick-or-Treat costume as well! The costume notes being ideal for ages 3-5, and both our youngest son (age 4) and our daughter (age 6) are able to wear it. Our daughter is small for her age, though! They both wanted to try it on!

They have so much fun in this costume! We have since added our 4-year-old son’s name to the badge which he loves! He gets so excited about his book and the Astronaut ice cream and had to play the role while eating them, of course! I love that it includes extra accessories to really get kids excited about dress up and pretend play!

In addition to the great accessories, it also encourages play with box it came in as well! I think most parents know the box is often the best part for kids, and I love that My Pretend Place acknowledges the fun kids can have with the box as well! It has a handle and included a variety of space stickers to decorate the box! It’s like a little space suit case! So not only did he have some tasty space ice cream, but he was able to make something with the box as well to create another accessory!
Overall, I’m so impressed with what My Pretend Place offers. Whether your child needs a costume for play time or Trick-or-Treat or if you want to provide a whole play experience, My Pretend Place offers a lot of great resources! Plus I love that they offer The Playroom to share a variety of great ideas!

I Absolutely Loved Reading Your Review on Encourage Imagination with My Pretend Place! This place sounds so Great! I love the fact that you not only get the costume, but you also get other things which relate to the costume as well! Your kids were so Cute in their Space Suits!! And, on the Plus side, they actually tell you to make the box into something for the kids to play with! How Terrific! I’ve never heard of this place before now and I think it’s Terrific!!! I love when the kids get to “pretend” and play “make believe”! Thanks so very much for sharing this information with all of us! I know I appreciate it!!! Thanks again, Michele 🙂

I love this review! I totally agree with your thoughts on pretend play. When a child is allowed to develop his imagination in a healthy way it inspires him to reach great heights as he grows older.

Yes! We have gotten dress up costumes for our daughter, and they are ruined after like two uses! It’s such a bummer! I love that this one is high quality and includes all the extras as well!
