Shake Up Summer with Old Orchard

September 2, 2015 by Emilee Evans

We are big fans of Old Orchard juices and have enjoyed trying new products which I shared in Old Orchard review in the past. When I discovered there were new Old Orchard products available, I was excited to try them out and share them with friends and family!
Shake up Summer with Old Orchard
Disclosure: I received complimentary products to facilitate my review. Regardless, all opinions are my own and those of my family.
Old Orchard has introduced the Old Orchard Mixers. They are available in three different varieties which include: Pina Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri and Margarita. They can be made with alcohol, but they also can be made simply with ice and water as well! Simply blend and serve!
Summer is wrapping up, so it’s a great time to throw a Summer Party! Check out this party planning videos for great ideas!

Our party wasn’t too spectacular because our household has been passing around a cold and a stomach bug. No fun! I finally got it rescheduled. Though it was very small, we had a blast!
At the party we tried the Strawberry Daiquiri. At first it was very sweet – too sweet, so I added more ice, and that helped a lot! It was still a little too sweet for my husband’s taste, but he doesn’t like sweet drinks very much. It blended so nicely, though, which is always nice! Overall, though, after I added more ice, everybody enjoyed it.
My biggest disappointment with all three of the Mixers is the ingredients. I had come to love Old Orchard products as natural products so when I saw ingredients like artificial colors and artificial flavors I was definitely disappointed. Plus, all three Mixers contain High Fructose Corn Syrup as the first ingredient. So overall, it’s just not something I would buy.
The Old Orchard Mixers are available at Walmart locations across the US and can be found with other frozen juice concentrates.

I knew that Old Orchard made juices, but I had no idea they made mixers! How cool, and I love how easy they make it. I would definitely enjoy a cool strawberry daqueri on a hot day like today!

I don’t understand why companies are continuing to use ingredients that consumers have said they don’t want. HFCS, GMO’s, Red #40, it just seems silly when there are equally as inexpensive, healthier options that would make more consumers willing to buy their products. I would totally buy this, if it wasn’t full of ingredients that are icky. It looks SUPER yummy.

I agree. Consumer preference is definitely shifting towards wanting to know what is in our food and drinks and working toward choosing healthier options. I think it’s a great thing, of course! I do hope companies start to acknowledge it as well.
