I haven’t yet been to Bonefish Grill, so it was a real treat to not only get to experience Bonefish Grill for the first time but learn about their new offerings as well for my Bonefish Grill review! Guests can now take advantage of the following: Sunday Brunch, Coldwater Catch, Lunch, and Triple Bang.
Not only was this my first visit, but Bonefish Grill opened a new location in The Woodlands within the past couple of weeks, so I also got to try out the brand new location! I went for lunch with my family and was excited to check out their lunch offerings.
Our waitress was really helpful and explained that Bonefish Grill only serves fresh fish and seafood that is hand cut daily. She told us the fish of the day and soup of the day. I noticed they offer a gluten-free menu as well. I felt the lunch prices are pretty reasonable particularly considering they make everything fresh. That is a big deal to me! When I go to a nice restaurant, I don’t want to eat processed foods that arrive in bulk. I want something that is worth going to a restaurant for, and that means fresh!
My husband ordered the fish of the day (grouper), the kids had popcorn shrimp, and I had the Spring Basil Fettuccine and added wood-grilled shrimp. The kids’ portions were the perfect size, and the lunch portions were perfect for lunchtime. I was able to eat it all without feeling overly stuffed yet still feeling satisfied. I did have to cut the tails off of my shrimp, which was a little tedious since they were in with the pasta, but we discovered it was because they are made fresh then added. I agreed I would rather have the extra step to have fresh shrimp.
We also appreciated that they were accommodating as well. My husband didn’t realize the french fries they serve at lunch are only the Parmesan fries, and he doesn’t eat cheese (yes, nothing with cheese at all). They went out of their way to make him fresh plain fries. I love when restaurants are accommodating and understanding. We don’t go out often because between our kids’ special needs, and my husband only liking limited foods, it can be quite a hassle. Whenever we go somewhere that we feel comfortable and they accommodate us as well, it is definitely appreciated.
