I received 3 different sauces from WORLDFOODS to review. WORLDFOODS makes a large variety of ready to use 100% fresh, natural, authentic and gluten free sauces. All of their sauces are made without any artificial ingredients, preservatives or food flavor enhancers. Needless to say, they definitely fit my criteria! I am always on the lookout for all natural products, and since we are moving toward a gluten free diet that was an added bonus!
For my review I received the Thai Coconut Galangal Stir-Fry Sauce, Singaporean Style ‘Xin Zhou’ Noodle Sauce, and the IndoChina Cambodian Pineapple Lemon Grass Stir-Fry Sauce. As you can see I chose a variety from different styles to experience the different flavors. The main thing the three sauces have in common is that they are all “Mild” because I knew if I got “Hot” or even “Medium” I would most likely be enjoying the flavors alone!
Talk about flavors! I was SO impressed with the flavors. When they say “flavor fusion” I can now understand why! I haven’t had the chance to do anything fun or fancy with the sauces since we have been so busy planning for our upcoming move. I just used them for their most basic purpose. I use the Noodle Sauce to add some amazing Singaporean flavor to our noodles, which was a big hit with the kids, and I enjoyed it as well, of course! It does have a hint of a spicy flavor, but definitely not enough to be considered spicy, and it definitely adds a nice, full flavor.
Then I used the Stir Fry Sauces for just that – just a basic stir fry. When I make stir fry I use a combination of whatever fresh vegetables I have on hand and mix up the meat. I usually add a variety of spices, but I kept the spices at a minimum knowing these sauces probably had enough flavor that they would be unnecessary. I was right! Again, the flavor was very full. The IndoChina Cambodian Pineapple Lemon Grass Stir-Fry Sauce even has bits of pineapple in the sauce, which really added to the experience! It is a little sweet and a little spicy and very enjoyable!
The Thai Coconut Galangal Stir-Fry Sauce was noted to be more suitable for chicken, tofu, seafood, and vegetables, so I used it with a chicken stir-fry with vegetables. It is more creamy in texture. Again, the flavor did not disappoint! It is such a unique combination of flavors I can’t specifically point out just one. It’s an amazing combination!
Of course, if you want to be more creative with your sauces, you definitely don’t have to stick to the basics! WORLDFOODS offers a variety of recipes on their website.
