I've Been Nominated!

Wow, I am so honored that I was nominated for Best Special Needs Blog in the 2013 Homeschool Blog Awards! It was so hard to choose when I was nominating my fellow bloggers, and it’s just as hard to vote because so many of the blogs in all the categories have been such a blessing to me. I am humbled to be alongside some absolutely amazing blogs.
When I started Pea of Sweetness it was just to share my crafting/sewing business and even direct sales, and then I was just led in a totally different direction. I have a passion for sharing our eco-friendly living journey as my husband’s cancer diagnosis and discovering our children’s special needs caused us to change our perspective. Sharing our “every day” came naturally to me, which is where homeschooling came into play. It’s part of our life, and it’s another part I am passionate about sharing! I started blogging more about homeschooling and sharing our challenges with homeschooling our three special needs children as well as the challenges of homeschooling when *I* have special needs as well. It’s not always about the challenges, either. I also love to share some tips and tricks I learn along the way because I am definitely learning something every day!
I have been blessed by responses and messages from readers that found just what they needed in a post or encouragement to homeschool their special needs child. I have been blessed by those who read my Homeschool Reviews that message to say thank-you because they have a special needs child and now they have more information on using that curriculum for a child with special needs.
I am so grateful for everyone’s support and encouragement because, well, there ARE challenges with homeschooling special needs children and maintaining a website! Thank-you for the nomination!
